CHANDLER, ARIZONA

HWD serves semiconductor suppliers, electronics manufacturers and high-tech facilities across Chandler: the Price Road corridor, the Chandler Airpark industrial area, Ocotillo and the Loop 202 belt into Gilbert and Queen Creek.

We do not service household hazardous or non-hazardous waste. Businesses, institutions and government facilities only. Chandler residents should use the city's household hazardous waste program.

HAZARDOUS WASTE DISPOSAL IN CHANDLER, AZ

Semiconductor and Electronics Supply Chain

Chandler's industrial identity is the semiconductor ecosystem: not just the fabs, but the suppliers, equipment makers, test labs, chemical distributors and contract manufacturers around them. Their waste is chemically specific and the handling is unforgiving. HWD sends chemists who understand that chemistry, so incompatible streams never end up in the same drum or on the same pallet.

Acids and Etchants

Hydrofluoric, nitric, sulfuric, phosphoric and hydrochloric acids and the mixed etch chemistries that use them, concentrated and dilute, in drums and totes. Segregated by compatibility, packed in the right container material, and shipped for treatment with the handling HF in particular demands. HF waste goes in compatible poly containers, never glass or steel, and crews carry calcium gluconate on site whenever HF is part of the job.

Solvents and Strippers

Isopropyl alcohol, acetone, NMP, photoresist strippers and developers, and solvent blends from wafer and board cleaning, profiled for fuel blending where the chemistry allows and incineration where it doesn't. Mixed solvent streams are sampled before pickup so a high-halogen batch doesn't get rejected at the fuel blender.

Slurries, Sludges and Specialty Chemistries

CMP slurries, metal-bearing rinse waters, filter press sludge and industrial wastewater to stabilization, treatment or metals recovery; dopants, precursors, oxidizers and air-sensitive materials in small containers, assessed on site and packed as reactive lab pack. Reactive and air-sensitive containers are assessed before anyone moves them, and stabilized on site when the material calls for it.

Supplier Cleanouts and Line Changes

When a supplier changes a process, consolidates a building or exits a lease, the chemistry left behind can be extensive: partial drums of etchant, expired photoresist, cylinders and lab reagents from the QC room. We inventory it, sort by compatibility, and remove it in one coordinated project so the space can be released on schedule.

Wastewater and Bulk Service

Rinse water tanks, scrubber blowdown and pretreatment sludge are handled by vacuum truck or tanker when the volume makes drums impractical. We sample, profile and schedule the pump-out so the system stays in compliance with its discharge limits. For smaller suppliers without their own tanks, rinse water and spent baths can also go out in totes on a regular schedule, so there is no need to store more than a few weeks of liquid on site.

ELECTRONICS AND AIRPARK
Hazardous Waste Disposal

Electronics assembly and contract manufacturing: flux and cleaning chemistries, solder dross and lead-bearing waste, aerosols, adhesives and conformal coatings, lithium battery handling, and e-waste under universal waste rules. The Airpark and 202 corridor also hold distribution and light manufacturing: damaged and off-spec product, pallets of pails, and periodic inventory cleanouts. Board shops that run wave or reflow lines usually have a steady stream of flux waste and contaminated wipes, which we can pick up on a fixed schedule alongside the lamps and batteries from facilities.

High-tech suppliers range from Very Small Quantity Generators to Large Quantity Generators with full contingency plans. We confirm which you are, keep accumulation dates and labels audit-ready, get the EPA ID through ADEQ if you don't have one, and build profiles against the federal codes so your load isn't re-classified at the gate. Signed manifests and LDR forms come back for your records after every pickup.

Getting a Chandler quote: send the SDS or a chemical list for each stream, rough volumes, and the container types (drums, totes, pails or bottles). Acids, HF and reactives need specific packaging, so that detail lets us bring the right containers the first time.

We quote, then our crew arrives with the right containers, packs and labels on site, and leaves with the waste and a signed manifest copy for your file. Also serving Gilbert, Queen Creek, Mesa and Tempe, and statewide across Arizona.
